Precision Electrical & Air provided a complete installation of the Daikin FDYAN160AV1 16.0kW ducted air conditioning system. The indoor unit was strategically placed in the ceiling space above the void, while the condenser was securely mounted on the front balcony wall using rubber feet. All services connecting the indoor and outdoor units were carefully enclosed in ductwork as they exited from the ceiling space.
To ensure efficient water drainage, two drainage systems were installed from the indoor unit and safety tray to the external gutter. Throughout the ceiling space, ducting, branch takeoffs, zone motors, and air plenums were meticulously installed and connected to the indoor unit. A return air grille was also fitted in the upstairs hallway to optimise airflow.
A dedicated electrical sub-circuit was established, running from the switchboard to the outdoor unit, which included an NHP isolation switch positioned adjacent to the condenser. In the upstairs hallway, a MyZone Multipoint touchpad zone controller was installed and linked to the zone motors for user-friendly temperature management.
Efficient Installation of Daikin FTXV80W 8.0kW Split System Air Conditioning
In the downstairs living room, the Daikin FTXV80W 8.0kW high-wall reverse cycle split system was installed. New ducting, interconnect cables, and copper pair coils were added between the indoor and outdoor unit locations, with the condenser also mounted on rubber feet for stability.
A dedicated electrical circuit was run from the switchboard to the outdoor condenser, including an NHP isolation switch for safety. An Aspen Silent+ Mini condensation pump was installed beneath the indoor unit and connected to the nearest stormwater downpipe, facilitating efficient drainage. The system was thoroughly commissioned upon completion to ensure optimal performance.
Enhanced Comfort with Zoned Air Conditioning
With these installations, the property now boasts zoned ducted heating and cooling on the upper level, complemented by a dedicated high-wall unit for the downstairs living area. Both Daikin systems were supplied and installed according to manufacturer specifications, including the correct electrical circuits and drainage systems.
