Overview of the Project
Insight Building Services reached out to us for the safe removal of a substantial eucalypt from a development site in Edgeworth, where a new childcare centre is under construction. Given the tight timeline for the project, they required our expert arborist team to manage the entire removal process efficiently.

Identifying the Challenges
The mature gum tree posed significant challenges due to its location directly on the road boundary. Its size and proximity to powerlines and traffic made standard climbing and rigging techniques unfeasible. This scenario necessitated the use of a crane, which required precise coordination among our arborists, the crane operator, and traffic management to ensure safety on the road.
Strategic Approach to Tree Removal
We deployed our entire team to tackle this complex removal. With a crane organised by Insight, our climbing arborist carefully sectioned the tree from the canopy downwards, lifting each piece safely away from the site. The construction team managed traffic control to maintain a safe environment during the operation.
Projects like this demand meticulous sequencing. We had to manage powerlines, traffic, crane movements, and the falling timber all at once. By working closely with the site manager, we ensured that our operations seamlessly integrated into the overall construction timeline, preventing any delays for other trades involved.
Successful Outcome of the Project
Within just one day, the site was cleared and prepared for the next phase of construction.
